Hi there, I am quite new to photography and have just bought my first film SLR- a Canon EOS 500N. I am slowly getting the hang of things but have a question about advancing to Digital when the time comes.
People have told me a digital Canon EOS would be the way to go as my lenses would be interchangeable; my question is, would the lenses from my film SLR fit any Canon DSLR, or only specific variations?

PS, if I decided against a Canon for whatever reason, what would be another brand to try out- a friend recommended Pentax for a cheap, sturdy SLR for a serious beginner…true?

Friday, February 26th, 2010Is there a limit to the size of SD card used with a digital camera? I have a Pentax Optio 30, and wondered if I could put a 1 or 2Gb card straight in there. Would there be a noticable difference in buying a 10mb/s card over a 7mb/s one?
